Katapult Africa’s first accelerator program concludes with 200 strong Investor Day

On 25 August, Katapult hosted Mauritius Investor Day 2022, concluding Katapult Africa’s first accelerator program. The event brought together over 200 investors, gathering to see 7 of the most innovative agri-tech startups tackling value-chain inefficiencies and impact on the continent.

While Investor Day represents the start of a new journey for the cohort in terms of increased scaling and impact, it simultaneously stands as a graduation ceremony for these highly talented startups. Over the last 3 months, they have participated in Katapult’s accelerator program. Having been referred to as the most intense and fulfilling MBA you could ever undertake, our tailor made program is designed to symbiotically foster scale and impact.

Katapult’s Program Director, Marcus Hølland Eikeland says,  “The success in Mauritius is evidence we have accomplished part one of the Katapult mission; to build the world’s best impact accelerator program, equally relevant in Africa as it is in Europe. And we are able to export that program to a different geography and a new team. The remaining challenge is now to make this even more scalable to circumvent things like time zones.”

To support unique startups takes a unique lineup of content providers. Over the course of the program these experts bring to the table everything from industry specific knowledge to the fundamentals of building an impactful company. During the last 5 years the Katapult team has taken great pride in building this impact network and we are immensely thankful for their continued support as we grow as an organization.

Thank you for helping to deliver another successful accelerator program and a Katapult first on the African continent.

In addition to our content providers, we say thanks to 30 + mentors who all contributed with insights, coaching, advice and sparring to our cohort.
