The Katapult Experience

We are not promising a solution to all your problems, but we have over the past six years developed an award winning accelerator program, tailored specifically to the needs of scaling early-stage impact startups fast. Read what previous participants have to say about our accelerator programs:

  • Our Accelerator Model Read more

    Our Accelerator Model

We invest in and accelerate impactful tech startups from all over the world. The selected companies receive an investment, a tailor made accelerator program and access to Katapult’s global network of impact investors, mentors, experts, partners and alumni. We take a holistic view and approach when helping Founders accelerate their early stage startups.

  • Application and screening

The first step in the application process is where the company is given the opportunity to explain what they do and what problems they solve. Particular emphasis is placed on impact and the ways in which the solution contributes to addressing this. At the second stage, we want to assess the extent to which companies match our investment profile. This is a two-step process which involves reviewing the company’s profile and if selected, conducting interviews in order to get to know the management team.

  • Due diligence process

Due diligence means understanding the organisation’s current situation and what is required in order to reach both business and technological milestones. We also evaluate the company’s global impact and potential for growth.

  • Investment

After the due diligence is completed and before the program begins, we are ready to make the investment. Our terms are easy to understand and founder-friendly – we are looking for clear alignment so our portfolio companies can focus on growth. We invest €150-500k in all program participants, but are open to making larger investments where it makes sense. Given our industrial focus, we have increased our investment quantum to support deep tech and industrial companies more meaningfully through their seed stages.

  • Accelerator program

The accelerator program offers financial investment and a 3-month hands-on, fully digital program to help scale your business. This includes access to a global network of leading thematic mentors, dedicated experts and corporate partners. The key topics for the program are: impact strategy and measurement, investor readiness, networking and presentation skills, sales, marketing and growth, technology and product development and organizational development.

  • Demo days

At the end of the 3-month program, we host a Demo Day celebrating and presenting the selected companies to investors and corporates. This is an opportunity for the companies to showcase their progress and pitch to investors.

  • Follow-on fund and alumni

Katapult has raised a follow-on fund to increase our post-program capabilities and support our best performers. We can make investments in companies together with another lead investor, in Series A or similar sized rounds. Currently the fund has invested in four Katapult portfolio companies.
